adidas Celebrates 25 Years Of the Predator Line With Limited Footwear Capsule
Two football boots and one shoe, all combining heritage design lines with modern-day tech.

First made famous by a stylish young midfielder named David Beckham, adidas‘s Predator line has produced some of the most lauded football boots in the world over the last 25 years. Now, the Predator is celebrating its milestone anniversary with a capsule consisting of new takes on the Predator 19+, Predator 19.1 and a hybrid silhouette that combines a football boot-style upper with a Crazy BYW X midsole.
Both boots offer classic color schemes: the 19+ opts for black and red, while the 19.1 goes for white and red. Commemorative colorway notwithstanding, each also flaunts the top-tier performance that Predator products have become known for. K-Leather and Primeknit uppers reflect the line’s material transition over the years, Fusionskin technology enables a thin, seamless construction and a concealed BOOST footbed provides comfort. Meanwhile, curved forefoot pads and debossed detailing salute the Predator Mania, an important benchmark in the line’s lineage.
Although the boots are undeniably compelling, the Predator 19.1 25 Year Shoe may be the capsule’s most interesting component. Proffering an identical black/red/white colorway and leather upper to the 19+ -— save for the inclusion of laces -— it’s equally at home on the pitch as it is on the streets. Down below, the aforementioned midsole borrowed directly from the Crazy BWY x adds signature BOOST comfort and style.
This celebratory collection will release on adidas’ site come December 7, with both boots retailing for $225 USD and the anniversary sneaker coming in at an even $200 USD.
