Air Jordan 11 "Bred" Meets 'Night Rider' In Afew's New 'Best Kept Secret' Short
Cult-favorite TV series meets iconic Air Jordan sneaker in the light-hearted clip.
The excitement around Jordan Brand‘s re-release of the beloved Air Jordan 11 “Bred” this month is understandably high, and ahead of its arrival German retailer Afew has presented a humorous Night Rider-inspired short that reveals the celebrated shoe’s “secrets.” Although the “Bred” is one of the most classic Air Jordans ever, Michael Jordan only played 16 games total in it, 6 of which were during the memorable 1996 NBA Finals. Why is this, you may ask?
According to the sneaker aficionados at Afew, this lack of on-court use was because the AJ11 “Bred” was developed by the “Air Jordan Foundation for Law Government” to help Special Agent Sway Knight — who’s definitely not related to David Hasselhoff‘s Agent Michael Knight — protect the world against the “bad guys.” After a Mars Blackmon-style introduction, Knight can be seen putting the “Bred” to use in true action movie fashion, with a little help from KITT, his talking Pontiac Trans Am.
See the light-hearted clip above. On a slightly more serious note, you can expect the Air Jordan 11 “Bred” to release for the first time since 2012 on December 14 at Afew and other Jordan Brand stockists. The MSRP is set at $220 USD.
