SSENSE Debuts Dogwear from 1017 ALYX 9SM, Moncler Genius, Heron Preston and More
Stylish looks for streetwear-inclined pups.

SSENSE recently announced that it has commissioned and curated a selection of designer dogwear to join the hundreds of luxury items for humans on ssense.com. The fashion platform has commissioned a mixture of luxury labels and emerging designers to create exclusive items specifically designed for dogs, including 032c, Ashley Williams, Burberry, Heron Preston, Marine Serre, Moncler Genius, Paul Smith, Stutterheim, Versace, and VIP, in addition to existing items from brands like MISBHV.
The first collection is set to include harnesses, leashes, collars, sweaters, collar charms, and more from the various brands. Notable items include a rain jacket from Heron Preston in the brand’s signature bright orange hue, dramatic puffy coats from Moncler Genius, a cozy hoodie from Burberry and fuzzy zip-up fleeces from VIP.
The idea to break into the petwear category stemmed from the success of the platform’s Instagram series called #SSENSEInterns, where the brand features employees’ dogs wearing various new fashions. “We saw an immediate surge in engagement whenever we posted #SSENSEInterns on our Instagram account,” says Brigitte Chartrand, Senior Director of Womenswear Buying for SSENSE. “For many of the brands we partnered with, this was the first time they considered producing dog apparel and accessories, making it a fun project to collaborate on.”
SSENSE has confirmed that collections by 1017 ALYX 9SM, MISBHV, Martine Ali, Maisie Wilen, Thom Browne, and more will drop in Spring 2020 on ssense.com, with prices ranging from $60 USD to $1,395 USD. The platform has hinted that petwear will be a new product category that it will continue to expand upon in the future.
Baby Milo has also recently created a pet collection, which includes toys, wearable gear and play environments for cats and dogs.
