Vans Vault Drops Fully Tonal Epoch Sport LX Sneakers
Featuring textured nubuck uppers.
After unveiling its collaboration with Geoff Rowley & pillowHeat, Vans has returned with yet another vintage-inspired release. This time around, the Californian footwear label has taken on the Epoch Sport LX, iterating the silhouette in three fully tonal colorways — “Ceylon,” “Nautical Blue” and “Black.”
The sneakers are dominated by rich nubuck textiles, complemented by strips of grained leather and rubber. “Vans OFF THE WALL” branding is stamped at the tongue, followed by flat laces that cover the forefoot. Though the shoes are completely tonal, nuanced details like serrated eyelet panels and subtle wrinkles along the uppers enliven the minimal design. Strips of leather are placed along the heel counter as well as the walls featuring Vans’ retro side stripes. To finish off the thematic color scheme, the waffle midsole comes in a tonal palette, including the label’s iconic heel tag.
