Dev Hynes (Blood Orange) has dropped off the Queen & Slim Original Motion Picture Score via Domino Records. Clocking in at 36 minutes, the 20-track project marks the English multi-instrumentalist’s second official foray into film scoring, succeeding his work on Gia Coppola’s directorial feature film debut, Palo Alto. The score utilizes Hynes’ particular musicality and features a wide range of instruments including the piano, strings, synths and electronic keys, effectively evoking the appropriate emotions for the forthcoming romantic thriller. Prior to the release of the score, the Queen & Slim official soundtrack was also released and features tracks from Megan Thee Stallion, 6LACK and Ms. Lauryn Hill‘s first song in six years.
