Under Armour Curry 7 Goes Sour Then Sweet With Sour Patch Kids Collab
Two colorful nods to Chef Curry’s favorite candy.
Steph Curry‘s sweet tooth is the stuff of legend, so Under Armour is nodding to the sidelined Golden State Warriors star’s snack of choice with a duo of Sour Patch Kids-inspired Curry 7s. Arriving in both “Lime” and “Peach” flavors, the shoes feature vibrant neon tones and plenty of special detailing that’s sour and sweet at the same time — just as their name would indicate.
The “Lime” iteration opts for a vivid green while the “Peach” takes on an orange hue with just a touch of red. Both present a tonal look on the upper, save for an alternating “Sweet” and “Sour” graphic that’s split between the pull tabs on both tongues and Sour Patch Kids graphics on the heel tabs.
The sockliner and insole are where things get wild, thanks to an all-over multicolor Sour Patch kids print that offers a hefty helping of partially hidden details. No performance is sacrificed to achieve the sugary style either, thanks to the Curry 7’s low-slung but supportive construction, durable heel plate and responsive mix of HOVR/Micro G foam in the midsole.
Both UA Curry 7 “Sour Patch Kids” colorways have already released in China, but will make their Stateside debut on UnderArmour.com in the US November 29 for $140 USD. As far as Steph himself, he’s expected to return to the court sometime next spring.
Elsewhere in the world of performance basketball footwear, Kobe Bryant’s new Nike Kobe Protro 4 “Wizenard” is inspired by his first-ever novel.
