Prada Launches Outdoor-Inspired "Escape" Capsule
Functional pieces with an elevated sensibility.
The great outdoors is calling and Prada is the latest brand to answer by interpreting the rugged aesthetic in its own way, presenting a new travel-inspired “Escape” capsule. Encompassing men’s and women’s apparel and accessories, the lifestyle collection embodies practical elements that keep the adventurous type in mind, while the Italian label’s luxe sensibility is threaded throughout with elevated fabrics and embellishments.
The color palette spans earthy shades like khaki green, orange and tan, while camouflage and florals provide vibrant prints. Standout pieces like the gabardine nylon-coated outerwear and pants offer a protective head-to-toe look, while delicate knits and updated interpretations of the double match shirt bring in a more stylish aspect. Details like cargo pockets and zippered compartments bolster the utilitarian aesthetic throughout, while belt bags, backpacks and reusable water bottles bring in functional accessories. Thick-soled boots and chunky sneakers finish off the fits with sturdy footwear.
Prada’s Escape collection is out now at Prada Broadway Epicenter and will roll out to the Prada Design District location starting on November 27. It will be available until December 15.
