Nike Applies a Mix of "University Red/Black" to the Air Max Plus

Turning its focus back on the Air Max Plus, Nike recently gave the popular AM model a “University Red/Black” makeover.

This time around, the latest Air Max Plus iteration has been given a black technical mesh upper base accented by a black/red gradient TPU cage, mini Swooshes and contrast grosgrain eyelets. Additional branding details come in the form of “TN Air” branding on the rear nubuck panel, Nike badges at the tongue and printed insoles. Rounding up the design of the shoe is a leather mudguard, TPU toe cap and an Air-assisted black midsole paired with a red torsion plate and matching rubber outsole.

Priced at $160 USD, the Nike Air Max Plus “University Red/Black” is available now at Eastbay.
