New Balance Revamps Made in US 997S in Multi-Paneled "Baited" Colorway
Mixing up vibrant palettes.

Following its recent collaboration with Aimé Leon Dore, New Balance keeps the premium footwear drops coming. This time around, the American footwear purveryor has revamped its 997S in a multi-paneled “Baited” colorway, glossing soft pastel tones all over the shoe.
The sneakers are dominated by delicate pigskin suede, with a color scheme that begins dark at the top and rear but gets lighter towards the bottom front. Coming in sleek black nubuck, “New Balance” is debossed at the tongue, while tonal laces cover the forefoot. The top of the heel counter is paneled in blue, followed by yellow and light blue underneath. Moving over to the main body, a section of the upper quarter appears in a rich purple hue, next to dark rose-colored sidewalls with a contrasting “N” logo sewn over. The brightest part of the shoe is the front toebox, which comes in a bold yellow palette, complemented by a thin orange strip that appears just below the laces. All of these details sit above a monochromatic ENCAP REVEAL midsole that offers maximum support and cushioning.
The New Balance M997SB1 “Baited” is currently available at newbalance.com for $199 USD.
Elsewhere, PLEASURES and Converse have teamed up for Punk-inspired Pro Leather sneakers.
