Lucky Daye Can't Escape "Karma" in His Latest Music Video
Another visual from the R&B singer’s ‘Painted’ album.
New Orleans-bred artist Lucky Daye has shared the latest video from his newest album, Painted, releasing the official visual for the track “Karma.” The R&B singer can’t seem to escape from Karma herself throughout the spot, which was filmed in Los Angeles and directed by child.
This follows behind several other videos hailing from Painted, including “Love You Too Much,” “Real Games” and the breakout single “Roll Some Mo.” Daye released two EPs, titled I and II respectively, before dropping off Painted in May. See his interpretation of “Karma” now by watching the video above.
Daye’s notoriety only continues to gain steam this year. He appeared on NPR’s Tiny Desk Concert with Raphael Saadiq in June, which was closely followed by a BET Awards performance in the weeks after. The musician recently closed out his first-ever U.S. tour and is set to open up for Khalid on his “Free Spirit Tour” this month.
Elsewhere, Daye starred in BAPE‘s lookbook for its recent Ghostbusters capsule.
