Tame Impala Announces Return With New Album 'The Slow Rush'
The followup to 2015’s Grammy-nominated album, ‘Currents.’
After releasing two singles earlier this 2019, Tame Impala has officially announced his return with the upcoming album, The Slow Rush. The followup to the 2015 Grammy-nominated record Currents, the forthcoming LP marks Kevin Parker’s fourth studio album under the Tame Impala project.
Not a lot is known about The Slow Rush — specifically if his most recent singles “Patience” and “Borderline” will be included — but a short video on the official Tame Impala website previews Parker working in the studio. A number of time-lapses reflecting how much time he’s spent in the studio is weaved in the short visual, along with a quick preview of an unheard track that will most likely appear in the new record.
Watch the visual above or on official.tameimpala.com. The Slow Rush is expected to drop in 2020.
