Summer Walker's 'Over It' Debuts at No. 2, Break's R&B Streaming Record
Previously held by Beyoncé’s ‘Lemonade.’

Summer Walker’s long-awaited debut album, Over It, came in with a bang last week, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 albums chart. The singer’s project has also made history by earning the top spot for R&B streams by a female artist, shifting down Beyoncé’s Lemonade which had held the position since 2016.
While Walker’s debut did reign supreme in streams — 154.7 million for Over It versus 115.2 million for Lemonade — the latter still holds the most equivalent album units earned for an R&B album by a woman at 202,000 units (compared to Walker’s 134,000 units). Over It, meanwhile, also becomes the second most-streamed album by any R&B artist ever, coming just behind The Weeknd’s Starboy, which debuted with 175.2 million.
Keeping the momentum going, Walker recently released a music video for her hit single “Playing Games” featuring Bryson Tiller.
