NemeN Brings Augmented Reality & Weather-Ready Fabrics to Utilitarian FW19 Collection
Featuring collaborations with SEVER AR and Airinum.
Italian technical label NemeN has unveiled its Fall/Winter 2019 collection, which once more sees the brand explore the realms of technical clothing and garment design.
The innovative nature of NemeN means outerwear has been given a contemporary rethink, with augmented reality featuring in this season’s signature jacket. Pieces are utilitarian and technical, bringing functionality via collaborations with companies such as SEVER AR and Airinum.
NemeN’s standout piece from its FW19 collection is the GUARD jacket, which returns this season with a woven jacquard polyester fabric with an augmented reality graphic. The AR function works when the wearer pairs the jacket with the SEVER AR application, which then reveals hidden garment dimensions. This same function is also found on the long-sleeve T-shirt.
Also new this season are the ZEPHYR and DARE jackets. Both are made from a new textile blend composed of 30% cotton,
25% nylon and 45% polyurethane, making for a comfortable, technical piece of outerwear that can tackle the elements. There is also a ballistic-inspired CRASH VEST, two pairs of comfort-forward pants, a hoody, T-shirt and a roundneck crew, as well as a final collaboration with Airinum for an Air Mask that is certified to protect wearers against air pollution.
