Slam Jam Captures ASICS GEL-Kinsei in Hallucinatory "Club Europa" Editorial
Referencing the retro sneaker’s technical nature.

Slam Jam has put the spotlight on the recently-revived ASICS GEL-Kinsei in its latest editorial, “Club Europa.”
The Italian mainstay has enlisted the photographer Salvatore Caputo to create a series of noisy and hallucinatory visuals spanning both photography and video. In its latest body of work, the GEL-Kinsei takes the limelight and is featured in two retro colorways — “White/Black/Red” and “Grey/Black/Blue.”
ASICS‘ newest retro sneaker is a lightly reworked version of the original 2000s release, sporting a Hisanori Fujita-designed look that is inspired by Samurai warriors and their armor. It is one of the most orthopedically-invested pairs in the ASICS roster as of current, featuring a GEL unit which is divided into three sections for superior cushioning. To reflect its technical nature, Slam Jam has paired the GEL-Kinsei with a variety of techwear pieces, such as nylon trench coats, track pants and windbreakers.
You can take a look at the Slam Jam “Club Europa” editorial in the gallery above, and pick up a pair of ASICS GEL-Kinsei’s for yourself via Slam Jam’s website for $182 USD.
In other news, Slam Jam has recently unveiled its upcoming New Balance 990v3 collaboration.
