Guy Ritchie Goes Back to His Gritty Crime-Comedy Roots for 'The Gentlemen'
Starring Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Jeremy Strong, Colin Farrell, & more.
Following his live-adaptation of Disney’s Aladdin, director Guy Ritchie is going back to the gritty crime-comedy genre that kickstarted his career for his upcoming flick, The Gentlemen.
Backed by STX Entertainment, The Gentlemen stars Matthew McConaughey as Mickey Pearson, an American expat in London who is running a very successful weed-selling operation. When word breaks out that Mickey wants to cash out, other rogues in the city then try to usurp his territory. And just like Ritchie’s past hits, such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and Snatch, the film also boasts a stellar ensemble cast, including Charlie Hunnam, Michelle Dockery, Jeremy Strong, Eddie Marsan, Colin Farrell, and more. Check out the first action-packed trailer above.
The Gentlemen arrives in theaters January 24, 2020.
