Montblanc Links Up With Marc Newson to Support (RED)
Part of the proceeds go towards supporting HIV/AIDS programs.

As a tribute to (RED)‘s campaign to fight HIV/AIDS, Germany luxury brand Montblanc has joined famed industrial designer Marc Newson to create a special collection of MONTBLANC M pens, aptly named (MONTBLANC M)RED.
Taking the usual sleek M pens, the two collaborators have added new design touches to further elevate its design. The cap and barrel now feature a brushed palladium nickel coating, coupled with a red lacquer wrap at near the tip of the pen where your grip is normally positioned. A Montblanc emblem is ultrasonically welded on the top of the cap, which is paired with a luxurious platinum-plated clip round the side. The cap is extra secured via an integrated magnet, perfectly aligning the cap and the barrel.
The German company has also pledged that for every (MONTBLANC M)RED pen sold, €5 EUR (roughly $6 USD) will be donated to the Global Fund to support HIV/AIDS programs. That amount alone can already provide over 25 days of life-saving medication, according to Montblanc.
To purchase the collection, head over to Montblanc’s site, where the fountain pen is retailing for $1,450 USD while the rollerball edition is retailing for $430 USD.
For more things design, (RED) and Louis Vuitton has crafted a luxe candle to support the fight against AIDS.
