A Pair of adidas Blackburn SPEZIAL "Nightsafe" Has Just Sold for Over $65k USD
Not bad for a $125 USD trainer.

Those who managed to pick up a pair of adidas Blackburn SPEZIAL “Nightsafe” will be interested to learn that a pair has recently sold on eBay for an astounding $65,600 USD. The limited sneakers were launched at the Spezial Trainer Exhibition in Blackburn, where the Gary Aspden-designed sneaker were on sale in limited quantity (200 pairs). 160 of those pairs were sold with proceeds going to the Nightsafe organization, while the remaining 40 pairs were requested by charity for their own uses.
The most interesting part about the price hike for this limited $125 USD shoe is that adidas Orginals will soon be offering up a very similar colorway to the masses — sans collaborative insole. While the shoe is experiencing a significant increase in price on the secondary market, money from the sales will most likely end up only in the pockets of the resellers and not towards a charitable cause.
