M. Night Shyamalan's Apple+ Series 'Servant' Is a Horror About a Couple's Therapy Doll
But not everything is as it seems with the false baby.
M. Night Shyamalan‘s upcoming Apple+ horror series Servant finally has a new trailer and a release date. In the footage above, we see a nanny that’s been hired to take care of a baby named Jericho. However, the baby is actually a therapy doll being used for a couple after the loss of their own child. The nanny takes care of the child as if it were a person, but the trailer suggests something more sinister is at play.
According to The Verge, the plot is as such:
“Servant follows a couple in Philadelphia (played by Lauren Ambrose and Toby Kebbell) as they hire a nanny (Nell Tiger Free) to look after a therapy doll they’re using to cope with the loss of their child. Strange things start to happen as the nanny enters their lives. The entire show takes place in one location, which Shyamalan says gives the show a more play-like feel.”
Servant‘s first season is expected to be ten 30-minute episodes, with Shyamalan set to direct the first episode.
Check out the trailer above and catch Servant November 28 on Apple TV+.
In other entertainment news, the complete Marvel Infinity Saga 4K blu-ray boxset is now available.
