Junya Watanabe MAN and New Balance have collaborated once again, this time on the classic 990v5. Featured is a clean rendition of the silhouette in crisp white palettes that gloss over the entire shoe.
Starting at the top of the shoe, a shiny Made in USA patch is stamped at the tongue. Flat white laces follow through the forefoot, while breathable mesh covers the articulated almond toe. Towards the back, smooth cream-colored leather appears around the collars, complemented by rubber at the upper quarter and delicate pigskin suede along the sidewalls. “990” is embroidered at the heel cap, stacking tonal “V” branding above it. All of these details sit atop a chalky midsole that comes with a slightly raised heel for extra cushioning and support.
