Nike Readies For Winter With GORE-TEX-Equipped Air Force 1 WTR GTX
The latest offering in its THE10TH series.

Nike has updated its Air Force 1 under its new THE10TH series with a host of Winter-ready functionalities. The AF1 WTR GTX — which stands for Winterized and GORE-TEX respectively — appears in a seasonal colorway of “Sequoia/Black/Medium Olive/Gum Med Brown,” and a tactical mixed textile upper.
The aforementioned GORE-TEX material is seen on the sneaker-boots’ mid-panel and on the waterproof ripstop inner bootie, while premium leather constructs the toe box, vamp, rear-quarter and heel. Heavy-duty-inspired rubber hardware has been implemented in this design too, seen via the “NIKE AIR”-branded heel cup and the grooved heel-to-collar pull.
Elsewhere Nike has added a toggle fastening at the rear of the collar for a tighter, more weather-resistant fit, as well as a chunky metal zip down the front of the shoe. Round laces, a THE10TH badge on the lateral collar, a visibly-stitched Swoosh and GORE-TEX embroidery on the rear-quarter round off this tactical AF1, while a grooved Gum AIR sole unit sets off the entire look.
