This marks the second time the label has teamed up with Gou, tweaking her “Peggy Legong” logo this time with a vibrant Balinese twist – imbedding traditional motifs in the form of cartoony illustrations. The capsule has been kept concise, comprised of one Hawaiian shirt, which comes in black and white, and its matching bucket hats. One distinctive feature about the pieces is that each one has been locally sourced in Indonesia, made from Tencel satin, a fully biodegradable fabric that requires just 20% of the water used for cotton production. As a finishing touch, the buttons on the shirts have been made from coconut shell, rounding up the highlights of the environmentally-conscious capsule.
The Peggy Gou x Potato Head Capsule is currently available at potatohead.co from $45 to $140 USD.
