Rex Orange County Sings About "Being Away From Home" on "Face to Face"
Our latest preview of his forthcoming ‘Pony’ LP.
Last month, Rex Orange County revealed plans for his next full-length studio album, Pony. Made up of 10 new tracks, Pony will serve as the follow-up to Rex Orange County’s 2017 Apricot Princess LP and will be supported by an expansive world tour. Now, adding to the rollout and promotional campaign surrounding his forthcoming project, Rex Orange County is sharing another new song off Pony, “Face to Face.”
Taking to Twitter to break down “Face to Face” and reveal its theme and narrative, the talented young-songwriter explained that “Face to Face” is a record about “being away from home, feeling trapped in an undesirable situation, and finding it difficult to trust people.” Pony‘s previous single came in the form of its opening cut “10/10,” which debuted last month.
You can check out Rex Orange County’s latest Pony single “Face to Face” above, while the album itself will hit streaming services and similar platforms this Friday, October 25. You can take a look at the tracklist for Pony below.
Back in February, Rex Orange County released his first new, original single since 2017, “New House.”
