Sneakerwolf Drops Kanji-Clad "HOMETOWN" Collection
Referencing major cities around the world.
Tokyo-based designer Sneakerwolf has dropped an expansive slew of casual staples emblazoned with his signature calligraphic style. Released under his label The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing, the collection is dubbed “HOMETOWN” and references the names of major cities around the world.
This marks the sixth collection by the label and focuses on five citites: Tokyo, New York, Paris, London, and Los Angeles. Among the silhouettes in the range – pants, long-sleeves, etc. – one distinctive highlight is the hoodie, coming with a hefty 12.4oz build in base shades of white, black and grey. Each piece sees an assortment of colorful prints, ranging from dark red to bold teal, that pop from its monochromatic foundations. When asked about what’s next for his label, Sneakerwolf mentioned that he intends on making future prints exclusive to each corresponding country, while floating the idea of making public art like murals in the international cities.
The Wolf in Sheep’s Clothing “HOMETOWN” collection will be available at the sneakerwolf.com on October 25th at 10 a.m. EST.
Elsewhere, Peggy Gou and Potato Head have linked up for eco-friendly Hawaiian shirts.
