J Balvin Reveals 'Spongebob Squarepants' Grillz Collab With Ian Delucca
Celebrating the 20th anniversary of the beloved Nickelodeon series.
After getting a look at a team-up with Modernica and Louis De Guzman, J Balvin has revealed the latest installment of his ongoing Spongebob Squarepants collaboration. The Colombian reggaeton icon has tapped Los Angeles-based designer Ian Delucca on a set of grillz to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the beloved Nickelodeon series.
The grillz are crafted of 14-karat yellow gold emblazoned with a pattern developed by artist Louis De Guzman. When worn together, the top and bottom segments come together to form Guzman’s unique take on the playful character. According to Delucca, “We developed techniques specifically for this project, this is the first time we’ve seen graphics applied directly to gold teeth, particularly in such an essentially seamless way.” The unique collaboration comes complete with a matching silver toothbrush and a custom RIMOWA hand-luggage case to house the set.
