HAVEN Links up With PORTER® for Special CORDURA® X-PAC Bags

After showcasing its FW19 editorial, Canadian retailer HAVEN has returned with its latest collaborative project, signing on stalwart Japanese label PORTER for a slew of bags lined with special X-PAC CORDURA®.

Each bag in the capsule is made in Japan with progressive CORDURA® X-PAC fabrics, a technology that offers durability and extra storage space. Comprised of three layers, the hi-tech fabric is made with abrasion-resistant 1000D CORDURA® on the outer layer, bonded to a lightweight 840D X-PAC sailcloth that provides anti-tear fortification due to its pliant nature, while the final layer, polyethylene terephthalate PET film, offers water repellence.

One noteworthy piece is the Utility Day Pack, coming with a substantial 23L capacity. Tonal YKK VISLON® Metaluxe zippers appear along the back opening, the sides and the frontmost compartment. The top of the bag sees a reinforced handlebar, followed by dense shoulder straps equipped with glossy ripstop, a bevy of D-rings and an adjustable buckle. Other things like its breathable mesh back and subtle patch logo round-up the details of the piece.

Another highlight is the Waist Bag, which sees a relatively boxy build. The bag can be worn over the shoulders with adjustable straps and a thick buckle for easy access. Besides its two main openings, sleeve pockets are placed inside, complemented with the addition of two flap pockets over the outer front area. Each piece in the collection is finished with military-grade betting and durable hardware to round off the assemblage.

The HAVEN x PORTER® X-PAC CORDURA® capsule will be available in-stores at HAVEN’s Tokyo Pop Up, HAVEN Toronto, HAVEN Vancouver and at havenshop.com on October 19 at 11 a.m. EST.
