After collaborating with Herschel Supply Co. on its 801 silhouette, New Balance is back with the latest iteration of the sneaker, giving it an earthy “Covert Green/Black” colorway.

The hi-tech outdoor-friendly materials match the trail-inspired colors of this model, coming in a mix of mesh, ballistic nylon and leather uppers. The tongue is embroidered with “new balance 801” branding in yellow to complement its creamy beige base, followed by breathable mesh netting along the forefoot and collars. The iconic “N” logo at the sidewalls see a rich olive tone that’s accented by tight ballistic weaving around it. Closer to the lower parts of the upper, textured grained leather and suede cover the toe caps, while smooth protective mudguards round up the piece. Lastly, a contrasting black ABZORB midsole that’s equipped with C-CAP cushioning technology, compression-molded EVA, props up all of the aforementioned details.

The New Balance 801 “Covert Green/Black” is currently available at newbalance.com for $99 USD.

Elsewhere, ASICS has launched its luxurious “Japan Collection.”
