In celebration of its upcoming RIMOWA collaboration, Dior has teamed up with Snapchat to develop three unique filters that allow users to experience the new collection. Using Snapchat’s Face Lens, World Lens and Marker Tech, Dior has created a number of filters and 3D designs that bring the house’s aesthetic produced by Kim Jones into reality.
The Face Filter utilizes the Dior Oblique motif and overlays this pattern, alongside the brand’s moniker and a cloudy sky, on top of the users’ face. Its World Lens features a DMC DeLorean as if it has been crafted by Daniel Arsham — who has worked alongside Dior on its upcoming season – and allows users to explore the car in order to find the Dior x Rimowa Personal Clutch bag.
Lastly, Marker Tech offers the ability to experience the clutch in real-life surroundings. The Face Filter and World Lens will be available for one week and geolocated around Dior boutiques in Paris from today, as well as in Miami and Dubai from early December. A world preview of its Marker Tech has been unveiled at Dior’s Champs-Elysées flagship ahead of the global January 2020 launch, and is accessible by scanning a card via the application.
