Hard-charging skateboarding pioneer, Hockey frontman and Fucking Awesome co-founder, Anthony Van Engelen is teaming back up with Vans to released a Holiday 2019 Pro Collection, centered around a fresh “Rainy Day” take on his signature AVE Pro.
Over his tremendously influential 20-year career, Van Engelen has been known to accept nothing but the best when it comes to his footwear. His newest signature model is up to the task however, as it features Vans’s UltimateWaffle construction — a heel-to-toe Ultracush system with a special shank for flex and support in the forefoot — contained in icy waffle-patterned rubber. The upper also features no-sew technology for extra support and reduced weight, while Duracap-reinforced underlays guarantee durability. Looks are not sacrificed in the pursuit of performance, thanks to a rich “Forest Night” base hue that’s dressed with black accents.
Although the focal point of the collection is indeed the shoes, there’s a full slate of apparel that accompanies them as well. This consists of a fleece crewneck, short and long sleeve T-shirts, a hat, chore coat and denim jeans.
The entire collection is available now at Vans.com/AVE, and select Vans stockists with the AVE Pro priced at an even $100 USD.
