Ryan Reynolds & Michael Bay Blow Things up in Netflix's '6 Underground'
The $150 million USD film hits the streaming giant this December.
Last September, Ryan Reynolds shared a behind-the-scenes look at his upcoming role in 6 Underground, a project helmed by movie maestro Michael Bay. Now today Netflix has dropped the first full-length trailer for the explosive film, which sees Reynolds alongside a crew of individuals who faked their own deaths to form an under-the-radar vigilante squad that takes down notorious criminals.
Marking Bay’s first foray with the streaming giant, 6 Underground doesn’t fall short of what fans have come to expect from a Michael Bay film: tons of explosions and high-octane scenes. In the action-packed trailer posted above, the highly-trained squad can be seen traveling across the globe to such places as Hong Kong and Dubai to fight the injustice and evil that lurk in our world.
Teasing the trailer via social media earlier today, Bay described 6 Underground as his “big movie with Ryan Reynolds. Big action. Fun, fun flick. It’s kind of back to my old school self.” Additionally, Reynolds posted a witty tweet showcasing a Netflix DVD with the caption, “We’re coming to a mailbox near you.”
Along with Bay taking on directing duties, 6 Underground was co-penned by Deadpool and Deadpool 2 duo Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick. The $150 million USD film also stars Mélanie Laurent (Inglorious Basterds), Payman Maadi (A Separation), Corey Hawkins (BlacKkKlansman), Adria Arjona (Triple Frontier), Manuel Garcia-Rulfo (Sicario: Day Of The Soldado), Ben Hardy (X-Men: Apocalypse), Lior Raz (Fauda), and Dave Franco (Now You See Me).
Look for 6 Underground to debut on Netflix this December 13.

Apparently @netflix now has a 'digital' arm, so you don't have to rewind at the end. Anyway, here's the 'digital' trailer for #6Underground A.K.A. "How Michael Bay Stopped Worrying and Love Explosions More." #digital pic.twitter.com/UcuDYCqpyJ
