Yohji Yamamoto Revamps Dr. Martens' Classic Derby With Monk Straps
With an eye-watering price tag to match.
Yohji Yamamoto‘s Fall/Winter 2019 presentation is succeeded with another collaborative pair of Dr. Martens. Like the Fall/Winter 2018 offering, this new joint effort is a new spin on a classic shoe, giving Dr. Martens’ almond toe derby a blacked-out double monk strap makeover. Two adjustable straps are situated across the leather upper to securely strap in the wearer, with the all-black outsole and stitching guaranteeing a low-key look.
Look for the new shoes to hit Yamamoto’s web store and stockists on January 30 for a whopping ¥64,000 JPY (approximately $585 USD).
