New Trailer for Seth Rogen & Evan Goldberg's 'The Boys' Showcases Parallel Team, The Seven
The superhero satire is getting the live-action treatment.
The latest trailer for the Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg-produced adaptation of The Boys arrived today. The show will focus on The Seven, a superpowered team of CIA agents who have come together to keep The Boys—a gang of corrupt and brutal superheroes—in check.
The footage, which was tweeted by Rogen himself, showcases a ton of action, dark humor and general debauchery just like the original comic it’s inspired by. That comic initially received a six-issue run with a DC Comics imprint called Wildstorm but was quickly canceled for its anti-superhero premise. Its co-creator Garth Ennis then took the series to Dynamite Entertainment, where it continued.
Although there’s no word on when the first season will drop, The Boys is expected to hit Amazon later this year.
In related entertainment news, here’s everything coming to Netflix in February.
