Netflix Introduces a New Batch of Superheroes in 'The Umbrella Academy' Trailer
A comic book adaptation from My Chemical Romance’s Gerard Way.
Netflix released the trailer for The Umbrella Academy—a 10-episode take on the X-Men premise adapted from the comic of the same name by Gerard Way (My Chemical Romance) and artist Gabriel Bá.
The series sees a group of superpowered children adopted by a billionaire industrialist attempting to make a team that’ll save the world. However, instead of growing up into heroes, they’re burdened by their idiosyncratic upbringing. The series stars the likes of Ellen Page, Tom Hopper and Mary J. Blige.
