Nike Keeps the Air Darwin Moving Forward With New “Wheat” Colorway
Another retro model catching some shine.
Most closely associated with eccentric basketball personality Dennis Rodman, it appears that Nike is throwing some serious weight behind its retro Air Darwin model. Teased earlier this month in a trio of color schemes, the new rendition focuses on fall-friendly work boot vibes with its tonal “Wheat” motif.
Worn by The Worm during the 1994-95 NBA season, the statement sneaker features the easily-recognizable backwards Swoosh, as well as decorative perforations on the toe and side areas with a two-tiered sole unit sitting below. Nubuck suede swarms the upper region in its entirety with splashes of black landing on the midsole, eyelets and heel Swoosh. Priced at $130 USD, you can find this new Nike Air Darwin at such retailers as Finishline.
In case you missed it, a Martine Rose x Nike Air Monarch could be in the works.
