adidas Reworks the Classic Stan Smith in a Boot-Like “Wheat” Finish
A new look for the throwback sneaker.
Now that fall is officially underway, adidas decided to amp up its classic Stan Smith model with a work boot-like remix. Similar to what Nike has done with its Air Max 95 and Air Jordan 9 models, the Three Stripes brand applied subtle tweaks to its signature sneaker, both on a functional and stylish scale.
Dressed in sturdy leather up top, the uppers take on a “Mesa” color scheme along its base, while a leather overlay strip in “Umber” finds its place on the ankle collar and heel counter. Other notable highlights include the rope-style laces and gum sole sitting below. Set to a retail price of $100 USD, you can look for this themed Stan Smith at adidas’s online shop come October 1.
