Reebok Drops Fully Recyclable, Cotton & Corn-Based Sneaker
USDA-certified.

Reebok kicks off its sustainable “Cotton + Corn” initiative with a completely recyclable NPC UK silhouette.
Sporting an upper made entirely of woven cotton, the shoe replaces ordinary petroleum-based rubber outsoles with a field corn-derived alternative, created in partnership with DuPont Tate & Lyle Bio Products. The resulting 100% USDA-certified bio-based textile was dubbed Susterra Propanediol and yields a comparably sturdy sole crafted entirely from sustainable processes. A castor bean oil-derived insole ensures that the sneaker is 100% green, a motif that carries over to its recycled material packaging.
