Artist John Paul Fauves Remixes Classic Cartoon Characters for Taipei Exhibit
Entitled “MI/ME.”
Costa Rican artist John Paul Fauves recently launched a new solo exhibition at Dopeness Art Lab in Taipei, Taiwan. Entitled “MI/ME,” the presentation will feature a new range of experimental paintings as well as handmade mask sculptures. Fauves’ work largely portrays unique interpretations of classic cartoon characters which he calls “New Pop Expressionism.” With this show, the artists “relates themes that interact with cultural and social media chaos on a daily basis,” said JM Art Management.
