Japanese outdoor experts Descente have been perfecting their craft since 1935, and show no sign of slowing down for 2018. The six-year-old ALLTERRAIN sublabel of premium outerwear is dropping a fresh selection of seasonal goods for the upcoming winter season, blending technical know-how with wearable styling. Descente ALLTERRAIN’s signature Mizusawa Down Jacket reappers in several new iterations, including the blacked-out, hooded “Mountaineer” form, which sports zippered closure on the placket and angled chest pockets, complemented by matching black down-filled pants. Several other down layers appear in rich blues, joined by nylon and thermal black wool shells in identical cool hues. A quilted long-sleeved down shirt and collaborative PORTER bags round out the offerings, with each item made customizable by the BOA system, an internal system of wires easily adjusted by simply turning the dial.
