Gucci Mane Enlists Lil Pump for New 'Evil Genius' Single "Kept Back"
The LP will also feature Quavo, Kevin Gates and others.
After linking up with Wiz Khalifa for the visual in support of their recent collaborative cut “Real Rich,” Gucci Mane has taken to Apple Music’s Beats 1 platform to debut his latest single in support of his next studio album, Evil Genius.
Titled “Kept Back,” Gucci Mane’s latest major release was debuted as the “World Record” on Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 show and features guest bars from Lil Pump. “I like Pump. I just feel like they got a lot of energy. I like the way they promote themselves,” Guwop tells Lowe, breaking down today’s drop. “I’m a big fan of Pump I think he be flowing. They makes good music so I wanted to collab with them. They’re dope.” “Kept Back” is also the second Evil Genius song to hit the internet, having been preceded by “Solitaire” with Lil Yachty and Migos. Besides Lil Pump, Evil Genius will also feature collaborations with Quavo, YoungBoy Never Broke Again, Kevin Gates, Offset and 21 Savage.
