Another Look at UNDERCOVER’s FW18 Astronautics Down Jacket

Spotted first on the runways of Pitti Uomo 93 back in January, is this spacesuit-inspired offering from Jun Takahashi‘s UNDERCOVER Fall/Winter 2018 collection. Referencing digital age disorder throughout the seasonal lineup, we thought to take a closer look at the imprint’s Astronautics Hooded Down Jacket.
Featured above in both Bordeaux and Red colorway options, each spotlights an integrated helmet hood with a transparent visor, raglan shoulders, black trim, white paneling, an interior mesh pouch, and a clear zippered phone pocket resting on the sleeve. Adding on to its intergalactic aesthetic is the “Undercover Astronautics Agency” patch and the “HAL 9000” emblem — a clear reference to the film 2001: A Space Odyssey. Priced at $2,859 USD, the Bordeaux version is currently sold out, however, the Red model is now available at H.Lorenzo.
