Kanye West and JAY-Z may not exactly be on the best of terms right now but, as this video of a young Ye freestyling for Hov reminds us, it really wasn’t always this way. The video shows West playing an abundance of beats for the senior rapper and even rapping over a few of the beats himself, including the verse that would appear on The Blueprint 2‘s “The Bounce.” The video ends with Jay being asked his opinion on West and him saying “Ye West…Hot…Fire…Put My Money On It!” Simpler times.
JAY-Z is currently riding high on the success of 4:44, having just teased the video for “Kill JAY-Z” which features lyrics that mention the fractured relationship he now has with Kanye.
