Seth Rogen on Turning Down Kanye West and Making out With James Franco
“I’ve run into him periodically over the years. And I love Kanye West.”
Canadian actor/comedian Seth Rogen recently took the time out of his busy schedule to sit down with Rolling Stone Magazine as part of its “The First Time” video interview series. During the quick interview, which can be seen above, Rogen reminisces about the first time he met Kanye West, making out with fellow actors James Franco and Nick Kroll, and how he had to put beef jerky up his butt to get a dog to sniff it.
On meeting West Rogen stated,“My house is right around the corner from a personal trainer who trains famous people, basically. One morning I was leaving my house, and Kanye West jogged by me and said, ‘You’re a funny motherfucker!’ And I was like, ‘I think that was Kanye West!’ but I wasn’t 100 percent sure.’”
A few weeks later, West came by the house to ask Rogen to play basketball to which is wife answered the door. On that story, Rogen recalls, “She goes, ‘Who is this?’ and then I heard her go, ‘Kanye’ who?’ And then I was like, ‘Oh, no! It’s Kanye West!’ And I ran downstairs, and he was literally standing downstairs with a basketball under his arm and was like, ‘You wanna come play?’ — like he was just a kid in the neighborhood. And I was like, ‘Dude, I’m so hungover. I can’t do this.’ I’ve run into him periodically over the years. And I love Kanye West.”
