Seth Rogen Becomes the Voice of Vancouver's Public Transit System
Replacing Morgan Freeman.

Canadian actor/comedian Seth Rogen can add public transport announcer to his résumé, having just assumed a new role with Vancouver’s public transit system, TransLink.
Rogen’s new role will include the familiar safety warnings passengers hear whilst traveling and using the city’s public system, such as advice to stand away from the edge and “fun facts.” Morgan Freeman was initially set to take on this role, however was pulled once sexual harassment and inappropriate conduct allegations were made against the actor. Due to a tweet sent out by Rogen himself offering up his services, TransLink decided to go with the Vancouver native.
“Any opportunity to enrich the lives of the Canadian people is an opportunity I will take,” Rogen said in the video. “I’m very proud to be from Vancouver, and I grew up taking public transit my whole life and I still use public transit when I’m in the city.” The video also includes a sneak peek at what one of Rogen’s messages will sound like, “Hey Vancouver, it’s Seth. Here’s a tip to make your transit ride even more awesome.” Watch it below.
So far there is no exact date for when Rogan’s trademark voice and laugh will take over Vancouver’s public transit system, but stay tuned for more details.

I’M GONNA BE THE VOICE ON PUBLIC TRANSIT IN MY HOMETOWN OF VANCOUVER. pic.twitter.com/JduvqtqU3o

Lots of emails today were along the lines of: “What, there wasn’t a Canadian actor who could’ve done the job?” After some thought, I do have a suggestion: @Sethrogen. I would happily listen to him announce my transit stops all day, every day BUT ONLY IF IT COMES WITH THE LAUGH. https://t.co/o0v5FWlocj
