Keanu Reeves Officially Confirms & Explains New 'John Wick 3' Title
It’s all about ‘Parabellum.’
Keanu Reeves has revealed in a recent interview the name of the third John Wick film will be John Wick 3: Parabellum, and he further explains the decision of the title. Reeves says Parabellum refers to “prepare for war,” an intimidating phrase given the events of the last film where we see almost the entire underground assassin universe now gunning for Wick.
Reeves elaborates: “It’s part of that famous sentence, ‘Si vis pacem, para bellum,’ which translates as, ‘If you want peace, prepare for war.’” Baba Yaga (another name John Wick is called as the “boogeyman”) is a man who wants to put his killing days behind him in the wake of his wife’s death, and after having no choice but to kill a member of The High Table on Continental grounds, Wick will have to go to war with the institution before he can retire once and for all.
It also appears Baba Yaga will also be joined alongside Hallie Berry for John Wick 3.
