clothsurgeon Salutes Brand Heritage With Patchwork Football Kit
The World Cup isn’t over yet.
clothsurgeon founder and CEO Rav Matharu played for Leeds United for some time, before shifting gears to focus on fashion with his London-based label. Both commemorating Matharu’s time on the pitch and the world cup, clothsurgeon is launching a concise selection of patchwork football gear dubbed “Past Present” FC.
Clashing patterns and fabrics inform a remade kit, with Prince of Wales check-emblazoned suiting wool contrasting against technical Nike fabric on a jersey and shorts set. Logos are retained for extra disparity, including a large “10” and clothsurgeon tags on the jersey and track stripes on the shorts. Meanwhile, a transparent tracksuit places the emphasis on the gear worn beneath, playfully revising typical layering pieces.
