Riccardo Tisci Announces Vivienne Westwood x Burberry Collaboration

With his inaugural collection for Burberry set to be revealed in September of this year, Riccardo Tisci has announced a collaboration with another British fashion institution. Announcing the news on Instagram, Tisci revealed that Burberry will release a capsule alongside Vivienne Westwood, described as “the original British PUNK.”
The collaborative collection is set to launch in December 2018 and will see classic pieces from the Vivienne Westwood archive reworked. Explaining the decision to collaborate, Tisci described Westwood as “the most unique champion of British style” who “has been a huge inspiration for so many of us.” Tisci also added that he had been planning to collaborate with Westwood since he took the reigns at Burberry back in March.
