The Weeknd Announces New Apple Music Beats 1 Radio Show
XO ting.

The Weeknd will be getting his own show on Apple Music’s Beats 1 radio station. He will join a cast of artist-driven programs such as Frank Ocean’s “dreamy blonded” and Drake’s “OVO Sound Radio,” to name a few. According to The Weeknd’s reps, the show will be called “Memento Mori” and will “present all of the music that’s inspiring some late nights” that Abel Tesfaye will be embarking on while he’s in Paris.
The first episode of Memento Mori airs this Friday, June 8, on Beats 1. “Memento mori” is a medieval Latin Christian practice that reflects on death, so expect the radio station to be pretty moody.
