Anime Graphics, Neon and Tourist Prints Dominated at the MSGM SS19 Milan Fashion Week Show
Massimo Giorgetti brings all his favorites together in the upcoming collection.

For this year’s MSGM Spring/Summer 2019 showing at Milan Fashion Week, Massimo Giorgetti put all his favorite elements of the brand into overdrive, presenting us with a barrage of loud graphics, neon and ironic prints. Often balancing sportswear and streetwear, this collection tipped the scales more into sportswear. Models made their way down a volleyball-lined catwalk set in the gym of a secondary school, wearing tracksuits, varsity jackets, windbreakers, oversized T-shirts, gym shorts, crew socks, and even lanyards paired with the occasional blazer or bleached denim.
Graphically, we see Giorgetti smashing together some of his latest obsessions — anime references to the series Attacker You!, futuristic interpretations of the MSGM logo, and variations of kitschy all-over tourist prints. The latter is said to be inspired by the photographs of American photographer, Roger Minick, known for capturing portraits of people on vacation. Something which may be sentimental to the designer, whose hometown, Rimini is a hotspot for travellers come the summer.
