Hublot Debuts Limited Shepard Fairey-Designed Watches
The collaborative Big Bang Meca-10 Shepard Fairey is two years in the making.
Luxury Swiss watchmakers Hublot joined forces with OBEY mastermind Shepard Fairey for a limited edition watch design. Dubbed the Big Bang Meca-10 Shepard Fairey, the new timepiece took two years to develop, and boasts a selection of high-end detailing to show for it. The face’s manually-wound skeleton calibre is bolstered by a 24 shiny jewel insets and a striking tribal-inspired pattern that encompasses the entire carbon fiber Texalium case. Meanwhile, the strap is crafted from a mix of calf leather and rubber, for extra durability, with enlarged embossed detailing taken from the pattern seen on the case.
Both colors of the Big Bang Meca-10 Shepard Fairey are limited to 100 editions apiece, accompanied by a signed and numbered letterpress print framed in concrete. Head to the Hublot website for more information on the exclusive watches.
Elsewhere, Fairey reinterpreted the iconic Modernica side-shell dowel chair with a printed collage.
