We recently reported that Nike‘s Air Max 1 “Curry” is set for a re-release in time for the model’s 15-year anniversary. It now appears that the AM1 “Curry” is actually a pack of three colorways — yellow, red and green — honoring the different curry types found in Asia.
The original “Dark Curry” yellow colorway is based on the famous curry powder hue known around the world, the “Olive Flak” iteration takes on a green hue inspired by traditional Thai green curry, and the “Tough Red” version boasts a deep red curry hue. All three colorways boast a premium suede and nubuck leather upper in their respective curry hues. Contrasting mesh panels and Swoosh branding in white, tan or moss green options add some contrast, suede inner lining gives a touch of luxury and matching lace eyelets and tongue tab branding add a hint of vibrancy. All of this is completed with a crisp white midsole and black outsole for a classic, clean look.
All three colorways from the Nike Air Max 1 “Curry” pack will release on May 10 for a retail price of $150 USD at Nike’s web store and select Swoosh retailers. Let us know if you’ll be picking up a pair in the comments below.
