New Balance has officially debuted its latest 99 sneaker, the ML99HLW. The new silhouette takes inspiration from three popular designs from the New Balance archives, drawing heavily on the late-’80s and early-’90s influences for a modern revamp of retro styling.
Debuting in a fresh Spring-ready colorway, the ML99HLW features a mix of premium leather and mesh on the upper, accented by embroidered branding (in place of the standard “N” branding) and lace eyelet detailing for added textural contrast. The sleek build is completed by an ABZORB and ENCAP-equipped sole unit, which continues the colorway’s salmon pink and mint green palette.
The New Balance ML99HLW is available now for £109 GBP (about $148 USD) at Hanon. Stay tuned for a Stateside release and let us know your thoughts on the new model. For more vintage style sneakers, Nike’s Cortez dons the Mexican flag colors ahead of Cinco de Mayo.
